Job summary

Tufts Medicine is seeking a senior leader to own physician compensation strategy across our employed physician enterprise. You will design and refine compensation plans, perform analytics, benchmark against market data, and advise governance bodies to ensure regulatory compliance and financial sustainability.

Reporting to senior finance leaders, you will collaborate with Total Rewards, Human Resources, and external consultants to translate complex data into clear recommendations for leadership

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years of progressive experience in physician compensation or related healthcare compensation role.
• Experience designing, implementing, administering, and evaluating physician compensation plans.
• Experience utilizing physician compensation benchmark surveys (MGMA, AMGA, SullivanCotter, AAMC) or similar sources.
• Experience presenting compensation analyses to physician leadership and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and ongoing refinement of physician compensation methodologies across employed physician groups.
• Develop recommendations on compensation structures, salary models, incentives, and recruitment arrangements.
• Maintain compensation documents, policies, and governance materials.
• Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, HR, Finance, and operations to ensure regulatory compliance and data integrity.
• Prepare benchmarking analyses and financial models for compensation governance.
