Join an innovative team that collaborates across departments to ensure correct documentation and coding. As a Coding Educator, you will support Physician Practices and Profee Coding Teams, providing coaching and training, especially in E/M, Family Practice, Internal Medicine, and Risk Adjustment coding. Certification through AHIMA or AAPC is required.
This role offers flexible, primarily remote work with possible offsite travel, and involves developing educational materials, conducting training, and supporting staff and physicians in coding and documentation standards.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field, with advanced training in Health Information Management and adult learning principles. Certification such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or CCS-P is required, along with 3+ years of healthcare information management experience. Excellent communication and instructional skills are essential.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous teaching/training experience and knowledge of adult learning principles are preferred.
