Schedule: Monday - Friday, flexible scheduling, 8-hour shifts. Primarily remote position, may require offsite travel. Banner provides equipment for remote work.
Position Summary: This role involves developing educational materials, conducting training for Health Information Management staff and physicians, and ensuring compliance with documentation and coding standards.
Core Functions include assessing training needs, developing and conducting training programs, supporting trainees onsite, and maintaining educational records. The role also involves collaborating on system-wide educational initiatives and staying current with industry standards.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field, plus advanced training in Health Information Management. Certification such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or CCS-P is required. At least three years of healthcare information management experience. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, regulations, and excellent instructional skills are essential.
Preferred Qualifications: Prior training/teaching experience, knowledge of adult learning principles, and proficiency with healthcare IT systems.
