Responsibilities

• Assesses the physical and mental condition of patients through exams and histories.
• Orders, collects, and interprets lab tests and imaging as needed.
• Prescribes or recommends medications and other treatments.
• Develops comprehensive treatment plans with supervising physicians.
• Counsels patients and families on medical processes, medications, and health promotion.
• Maintains accurate records of treatment plans and outcomes.
• Provides specialty-consultation services within the provider's field.
• Manages patients in inpatient, ED, or other settings as required.
• Performs invasive procedures within scope and training.
• Supports department coverage needs as required.
