Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Physician Assistant for specialty clinics. The PA will provide direct patient care, obtain histories, perform exams and have prescriptive authority under supervision.

Duties include developing treatment plans, coordinating care and counseling patients in medical processes and medications. Requirements include graduation from an accredited PA program, Texas PA license, NCCPA certification, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited PA program.
• TX PA license in good standing.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Experience: Less than 1 year.
• Current NCCPA certification and Texas PA license.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive or problem-focused physical examinations and obtain medical histories.
• Order, collect, interpret, and evaluate lab tests and other diagnostics.
• Prescribe or recommend medications and other treatments per protocol; work with supervising physician.
• Develop comprehensive, outcomes-based treatment plans and evaluate patient responses.
• Counsel patients and families on medical processes, medication, nutrition and health promotion.
