Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to provide direct patient care across specialty clinics. The PA will work with supervising physicians, perform exams, order tests, and manage treatment plans in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities include counseling patients, maintaining records, and coordinating referrals. Texas PA license and NCCPA certification are required or in progress; BLS may be required within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited physician assistant program.
• TX PA license required.
• Current NCCPA certification recommended.

Responsibilities

• Assess the physical and mental condition of patients through exams and histories.
• Order and interpret labs and diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe medications and other therapies within scope of practice.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans with supervising physician.
• Counsel patients and families on medical processes, medications, nutrition, and health promotion.
• Maintain accurate patient records and coordinate referrals as needed.
• Provide consultation services for conditions within specialty training.
• Manage patients in various care settings beyond primary clinic as needed.
