Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas seeks a Physician Assistant for a Medical Specialty role. The PA provides direct patient care with prescriptive authority and is credentialed, privileged, and billed as an independent provider by Medicare and Medicaid.

These providers work in specialty clinics and may perform procedures. Responsibilities include exams, ordering tests, prescribing therapies, creating treatment plans, counseling patients and families, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PA program.
• Licensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in Texas.
• Current NCCPA certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive or problem-focused physical examinations.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate lab and diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe medications and other therapies.
• Formulate and implement treatment plans with physicians.
• Counsel patients and families on care, medications, and nutrition.
• Maintain accurate patient records and outcomes.
