Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide direct patient care in specialty clinics. The PA will work under physician supervision, manage treatment plans, and advise patients on medications and health promotion.

Requirements include a Texas PA license, NCCPA certification, and BLS within 30 days of hire. Knowledge of diagnostics, labs, and cost-effective care is essential.

Qualifications

• Licensed and certified non-physician healthcare provider (PA) with prescriptive authority.
• Current TX PA license and NCCPA certification.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients with comprehensive or problem-focused exams and medical histories.
• Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests; manage treatments.
• Prescribe or recommend therapies and develop treatment plans with physicians.
• Counsel patients on medications, nutrition, and health promotion.
• Maintain accurate records of treatment plans and outcomes.
