Job summary

Premise Health in Frisco, TX is seeking a Full-Time Physician Assistant to join our on-site Health Center. You will conduct exams, manage preventive care, and coordinate with physicians for ongoing treatment and patient education.

Qualifications

  • Maintains state licenses/certifications to practice.
  • Maintains Board of Pharmacy Prescribing License (if applicable).
  • Current NCCPA national certification required.
  • Degree from ARC-PA accredited program.
  • Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice as applicable).
  • State Narcotic/Controlled Substance license if required in your state.
  • Current certification with hands-on training in BLS/CPR; ACLS may be required by contract.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines.
  • Performs injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
  • Develops patient care plans, records progress, and ensures continuity of care.
  • Educates patients on treatment plans, health maintenance, and development.
  • Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions.
  • Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care.
  • Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications and therapies.
  • Refers patients to specialists or physicians as needed.
  • Maintains patient health records; ensure accurate documentation.
  • Educates and coaches nursing staff on best practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

As a Full-Time Physician Assistant, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Frisco, TX. The scheduled hours are Monday-Friday 6:30am-6:00pm and Saturdays 7:30am-12:00pm.

What You’ll Do
  • Conducts physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines
  • Performs procedures such as injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management

  • Educates patients on treatment plans, health maintenance, and development

What You’ll Bring
  • Maintains state licenses/certifications to practice.

  • State Narcotic/Controlled Substance license if required in your state (Alabama, Connecticut, DC, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming, Puerto Rico) (New York ROPES registration).
  • Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services.
  • At least three years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in an ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice or emergency department setting.
