Job summary

Premise Health in Rio Rancho, NM is seeking a Part Time Physician Assistant (PA) to provide care to client employees and their dependents at our Health Center. The schedule is set at 20 hours per week.

You will conduct exams, perform procedures, order tests, develop care plans, and educate patients. Active NCCPA and DEA license, ARC-PA degree, state licensure, and BLS/ACLS are required along with 3+ years in ambulatory or occupational health.

Qualifications

• Current NCCPA national certification required.
• Degree from ARC-PA accredited program required.
• Federal DEA license (state of practice as applicable).
• State narcotic/CS license if required in your state and listed states.
• BLS (and ACLS may be required depending on contract scope).
• At least three years of clinical PA experience in ambulatory/occupational health or ED.

Responsibilities

• Conduits physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines.
• Performs injections, suturing, wound care and infection management.
• Develops patient care plans, records progress, ensures continuity of care.
• Educates patients on treatment plans and health maintenance.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess conditions.
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care.
• Prescribes or recommends treatments including medications and therapies.
• Refers patients to specialists as needed.
• Maintains patient health records with accurate documentation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

As a Part Time Physician Assistant (PA), you'll provide care to client employeesand their dependents in our Health Center located in Rio Rancho, NM.
*The scheduled hours will be for a set 20 hours per week.

What You’ll Do

• Conducts physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines and approved agreements
• Performs procedures such as injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management
• Develops patient care plans, records progress, and ensures continuity of care
• Educates patients on treatment plans, health maintenance, growth and development
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care
• Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications and therapies
• Refers patients to specialists or physicians as needed
• Maintainspatienthealth records toensureaccurateandup-to-date documentation andrecords
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• State Narcotic/Controlled Substance license if required in your state (Alabama, Connecticut, DC, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming, Puerto Rico) (New York ROPES registration)
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• At least three years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in an ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice or emergency department setting
