Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate from an ARC-PA accredited physician assistant program by start date.
• California PA license required at hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at hire.
• National Provider Identifier (NPI) required at hire.
• Physician Assistant National Certificate required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Practice as part of a team under the supervision of a physician.
• Examine patients, perform comprehensive physical exams, and compile medical data.
• Administer or order diagnostic tests and interpret results.
• Perform therapeutic procedures including injections, suturing, and wound care.
• First assist in surgeries or perform procedures as applicable; participate in perioperative care.
• Provide patient and family education and discharge planning.
