Qualifications

• Graduate from an ARC-PA accredited physician assistant program by start date.
• California Physician Assistant license at hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• National Provider Identifier required at hire.
• Physician Assistant National Certification required at hire.
• Fluoroscopy Permit required within 18 months for Orthopedics/IR/Radiation Oncology; may be needed for department tasks.
• Must work effectively in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, team-based patient care under supervising physician.
• Manage patients in office, hospital, ED and perioperative settings.
• First Assist in surgeries or perform department procedures as applicable.
• Support on-call duties for supervising physician.
• Develop and implement patient management plans and document progress.
• Educate patients on therapy adherence, growth, development, and health maintenance.
• Review patient data, order tests, and interpret results.
• Coordinate inpatient rounds and discharge summaries.
