Job description

Position Overview

Physician Assistant - Cardiology at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County.

Responsibilities
  • Perform physical examinations, obtain medical histories, order labs, ECGs, chest X-rays, and other studies on consult service and pre‑procedure under attending supervision.
  • Evaluate and interpret patient medications, laboratory tests, and obtain consent for cardiac procedures.
  • Coordinate and facilitate referrals and follow‑up for cardiac procedures (Cardiac Cath, EP studies, device procedures, cardiothoracic surgery).
  • Perform cardiac procedures including stress tests, stress echocardiography, tilt table testing, and nuclear stress testing under attending supervision.
  • Assist in cardiac catheterization lab procedures and perform inpatient cardiovascular consults.
  • Monitor and follow patients in the cardiac care unit.
  • Perform non‑invasive cardiac stress testing under attending supervision.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, care coordination, and patient/family communication.

  • Licensed to practice in New York State.
  • Experience with ECG and blood pressure monitoring equipment.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual base salary: $131,127–$174,836 (based on 40‑hour work week and years of state licensure).

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $144,239–$192,319, including baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors.

  • 401(k) company contribution: 3% immediately vested; additional 7% after one year of service.
