Job summary

The Physician Affiliate Group of New York is seeking a Non-invasive Cardiologist to join NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan in New York City. This role involves conducting stress tests and supervising medical residents.

With a competitive annual base salary of $340,000 for board-eligible and $350,000 for board-certified candidates, this position also provides a generous benefits package including 401(k) contributions, CME reimbursement, and medical coverage.

Qualifications

• Board Certification in Echocardiography is required.
• Board Certification in Nuclear Cardiology is required.
• A current NYS license or the ability to obtain one is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform nuclear stress tests, EKG stress tests, echo, TEE's, and various Holter monitors.
• See patients as a 'Direct Panel Attending' Monday-Friday from 9 AM to 1 PM.
• Supervise and teach medical residents.
• Work schedule is Monday to Friday 9 AM to 5 PM, with on-call duties once every second to third week.

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Non-invasive Cardiologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan. Located on First Avenue & 97th Street in Manhattan, it accommodates over 313,000 outpatient visits, nearly 70,000 emergency room visits, and more than 13,000 inpatient admissions annually. The hospital maintains an academic affiliation with New York Medical College.

Opportunity Details

• Clinical - seeing patients as a "Direct Panel Attending" Monday-Friday 9 AM to 1 PM

• Schedule is Monday through Friday 9 AM to 5 PM - call will be on average every second to third week, Monday through Sunday

Wages and Benefits include

Annual Base Salary: $340,000* (board eligible); $350,000* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $469,520** (board eligible) and $480,520** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

• Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.

• Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year's average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.

• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):

  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.

  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.

• Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.

• Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
