Job summary

Essen Health Care in New York seeks a Physician Assistant (PA) with interest in outpatient cardiology to join a growing ambulatory cardiology practice. You will work closely with cardiologists to deliver high-quality cardiovascular care in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Responsibilities include cardiovascular assessments, diagnostic testing, treatment planning, medication management, patient education, and EMR documentation. Prior experience in cardiology and EPIC/EMR proficiency are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Active PA license in [State].

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive cardiovascular assessments, including history and physical exams.
• Evaluate and manage patients with hypertension, CAD, heart failure, arrhythmias, and hyperlipidemia.
• Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests (EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter monitors, labs).
• Develop and implement treatment plans with cardiology physicians.
• Prescribe medications and manage ongoing therapy per guidelines.
• Educate patients on disease management, medications, and lifestyle changes.
• Document encounters accurately in the EMR.
• Coordinate care with referring providers, imaging, and ancillary services.
• Support quality initiatives and clinical protocols within the cardiology service line.
