Job summary

16 Valley Physician Services PC is seeking a skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for a surgical first assist role in Paramus, NJ. The successful candidate will work in a multidisciplinary setting, ensuring high-quality patient care and providing expert guidance to patients and families.

The position requires a graduate from an accredited program, current board certification, and a valid NJ license. A competitive salary starting at $176,800 is offered, along with comprehensive benefits like medical plans, retirement, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years clinical practice experience as surgical first assist in a cardiothoracic operating room.
• Experience with endoscopic vein harvesting preferred.
• BCLS, ACLS certification and CALS certification (may be obtained after hire).

Job description

Position Summary

In a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment, contributes professional and clinical expertise to assigned patient populations to ensure the delivery of high quality care.

Scope of Practice

• Expert clinical practice
• Expert guidance and coaching of patients and families and other healthcare providers
• Research
• Leadership (clinical, professional, and systems)

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program as determined by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation or holds a current Registered Professional Nurse license and a Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program/Masters Degree with Certification as a RNFA
• Current national board certification as physician assistant or nurse practitioner
• Holds a valid current NJ physician assistant license or RN license and APN license
• Obtain a New Jersey CDS and federal DEA certificate upon employment if not already covered
• BCLS, ACLS certification and CALS certification (may be obtained after hire)
• Bedside Ultrasound Course completion (may be obtained after hire)

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years clinical practice experience as surgical first assist in cardiothoracic operating room. Experience with endoscopic vein harvesting preferred.

Skill Set

• Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, and creative problem solving.
• Participation in pertinent professional and/or specialty organizations preferred.
• Serve on call as required

Salary

Minimum new grad base salary $176,800 K. Salary commensurate with years of experience as an NP/PA. (Salary would be prorated for Part Time) Ability to earn up to 5% quality incentive.
