Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join our Health & Wellness Center in Wichita, KS. The role involves conducting exams, preventive care, procedures, care planning and patient education, with collaborative work alongside physicians.

Qualifications

• Current NCCPA national certification required
• ARC-PA accredited program degree
• Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice)
• State Narcotic/Controlled Substance license if required in your state
• Hands-on Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may be required

Responsibilities

• Conduits physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines and approved agreements
• Performs injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management
• Develops patient care plans, records progress, and ensures continuity of care
• Educates patients on treatment plans, health maintenance, growth and development
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care
• Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications and therapies
• Refers patients to specialists or physicians as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned
