Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant for our Health Center in Joliet, IL. You will conduct physical exams, manage treatment plans, and coordinate care with physicians and teams to support client employees and dependents.

The role requires NCCPA certification, ARC-PA accredited education, DEA license, and at least three years of ambulatory/occupational health experience. Competitive benefits and a strong emphasis on work-life balance are included.

Qualifications

• Maintains state licenses/certifications to practice.
• Maintains Board of Pharmacy Prescribing License (if applicable).
• Current NCCPA national certification required.
• Degree from ARC-PA accredited program.
• Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice as applicable).
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; ACLS may also be required based on contract scope of services.
• At least three years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in an ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice or emergency department setting.

Responsibilities

• Conducts physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines and approved agreements.
• Performs procedures such as injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
• Develops patient care plans, records progress, and ensures continuity of care.
• Educates patients on treatment plans, health maintenance, growth and development.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions.
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care.
• Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications and therapies.
• Refers patients to specialists or physicians as needed.
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation and records.
