Job summary

Spooner Phoenix is seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Technician to support our mission as Arizona's largest private physical therapy practice. The role involves assisting therapists, guiding patients through exercises, and ensuring patient safety in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 18 years of age or older.
• Majoring in Kinesiology/Biology/Exercise Science (preferred).
• Prior experience or knowledge as a physical therapy technician.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists with designated aspects of patient care and serving our patients to ensure safety, successful execution of exercise, and a positive outcome.
• Instruct, motivate, and assist patients to learn and improve functional activities such as perambulation, transfer, ambulation, and daily-living activities.
• Safeguard, motivate, and assist patients practicing exercises and functional activities under direction of professional staff. Will be required to demonstrate correct activity form or function.
• Observe the patient during various physical activities designed in the treatment plan, compiling progress on patients' response to treatment.
• Effectively communicate patient progress and reactions to treatment to the therapist.
