Job summary

Spooner is hiring a Physical Therapy Technician in Phoenix, AZ. The role supports therapists, ensuring safe, effective exercises and positive patient outcomes. You will guide patients through activity, monitor progress, and report responses to the supervising clinician.

The job expects a high school diploma or GED, minimum age 18, and preferred study in Kinesiology or related fields. This is a full-time position with comprehensive benefits and a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Instruct, motivate, and assist patients to learn functional activities.
• Safeguard, motivate, and assist patients during exercises under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists with designated aspects of patient care and serving our patients to ensure safety, successful execution of exercise, and a positive outcome
• Instruct, motivate, and assist patients to learn and improve functional activities such as perambulation, transfer, ambulation, and daily-living activities.
• Safeguard, motivate, and assist patients practicing exercises and functional activities under direction of professional staff. Will be required to demonstrate correct activity form or function.
• Observe the patient during various physical activities designed in the treatment plan, compiling progress on patients’ response to treatment.
• Effectively communicate patient progress and reactions to treatment to the therapist.

What You Bring to the Role
