Job summary

Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a Clinical Physical Therapy Team Leader to assist the Director of Therapy Operations with daily department management. The role emphasizes supervision, staffing, scheduling, training, and cross-department collaboration to ensure high-quality patient care.

The position focuses on developing staff competencies and maintaining coverage, while providing patient care as needed.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited therapy program required.
• Minimum of three years of experience in physical therapy or leadership, with a minimum of two years of clinical experience.
• Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder (when eligible) or specialty professional certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise tasks of therapist assistants and technicians; assist with staffing, scheduling, orientation, training and communications to provide adequate coverage for patient treatments.
• Delegate and supervise tasks; maintain open and ongoing communication with hospital departments to meet patient, staff, and hospital needs.
• Provide patient care as required, typically 80%–90% of work hours; lead department operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
