Job summary

Miami Jewish Health is hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant to support a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility just north of mid-town Miami. You will administer therapies under a PT, help with discharge planning and home exercise programs, and support a multidisciplinary team serving elderly residents.

The role requires an Associate Degree in PTA and Florida licensure, with 1 year of PT experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant required.
• Florida licensed physical therapy assistant.
• 1 year of PT experience with geriatric population preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers skilled physical therapy interventions under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Implements discharge planning and home exercise program as outlined in plan of care.
• Assesses continuation of skilled therapy against regulatory criteria and documents findings.
• Communicates progress to the supervising Physical Therapist and care team.
• Attends IDT meetings and participates in care planning for residents.
• Assists with ordering adaptive equipment and DME as needed.
