Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Miami Lakes is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our inpatient post-ICU care team in Miami, FL. This full-time PTA position offers hourly compensation based on experience, plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.

You will assist with PT services, implement treatment plans under the supervision of a PT, and help patients improve mobility, strength, balance and functional skills for long-term recovery.

Qualifications

• Valid state PTA license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the delivery of physical therapy services including transportation, therapeutic exercises and functional activities.
• Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the physical therapist (PT).
• Assist the PT in carrying out therapeutic interventions designed to meet patients’ long-term goals, including strengthening, coordination and balance exercises; posture, endurance/cardiac, functional skills and community re-entry training; joint mobility and muscle lengthening and pain relief.
