Job summary

Miami Jewish Health is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant for PRN coverage. You will administer skilled PT interventions under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to promote functional independence for geriatric patients.

The role requires current Florida PTA license, BLS, and strong teamwork with interdisciplinary staff. On-site facility with a wide range of inpatient/outpatient services and supportive clinical education for students and aides.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant preferred.
• 1 year of experience in physical therapy and experience working with geriatric population preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment per the plan of care.
• Implements discharge planning and follow-up care documentation.
• Attends IDT meetings and provides updates on patient progress.
• Supervises rehabilitation aides and students; reports issues to PT.
• Maintains equipment and supplies; handles DME orders as needed.
• Collaborates with other disciplines as directed regarding participant care.
• Demonstrates flexibility to work across inpatient, outpatient, and PACE settings.
