Job summary

Under a supervising Physical Therapist, you will implement treatments, monitor progress, educate patients, document plans and outcomes, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective care. This role requires PTA licensure and BLS, with 0-1 years of experience.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in a physical therapy setting (recommended)
• PTA license in state of employment required
• BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Assists Physical Therapist in evaluating treatment effectiveness and adjusts plans as needed
• Implements interventions focusing on posture, balance, locomotion, strength, endurance, flexibility, and pain management
• Administers treatments under supervision and ensures alignment with best practices
• Monitors patient progress and reports outcomes to supervising Physical Therapist
• Educates patients on exercises and self-management strategies
• Maintains accurate documentation of care plans, progress, and discharge recommendations
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team on discharge planning and ongoing therapy needs
• Maintains infection control and safe environment for patients and staff
