Job summary

Community Health Systems seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant to support therapeutic interventions and patient recovery. You will collaborate with a supervising Physical Therapist to evaluate progress and adjust plans, ensuring safe, evidence-based care.

The role requires an Associate Degree, PTA license in the state of employment, and BCLS certification. You will document care, educate patients, and contribute to discharge planning within a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year experience in a physical therapy setting.
• PTA license in the state of employment.
• BCLS certification.
• Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques and modalities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in evaluating and adjusting treatment plans.
• Implement targeted interventions for posture, balance, locomotion, strength, endurance and mobility.
• Administer treatments under supervision and aligned with PT practices.
• Document patient care including plans, progress notes and discharge recommendations.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and participate in discharge planning.
