Job summary

Arroyo Grande Community Hospital ARU, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for acute rehabilitation on a per diem basis. You will work under a licensed PT to support functional restoration and mobility for patients.

Responsibilities include administering PT interventions, assisting with mobility, documenting progress, and ensuring a safe treatment environment. Per diem positions offer scheduling flexibility and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree from a PTA program.
• Experience: Rehab or acute care experience preferred.
• License: Current PTA license in state of practice.
• Certifications: CPR certification required.

How You’ll Contribute

The Physical Therapist Assistant provides physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, assisting in restoring function and improving mobility.

Essential Functions

• Administer physical therapy interventions as directed by the supervising PT.
• Assist in patient mobility and exercise routines.
• Monitor patient responses and report progress to PT.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for treatment.
