Kindred Hospital Paramount ARU in Paramount, California, is seeking a Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support our Acute Rehabilitation Unit.

Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, you will assist in restoring function, guiding patient mobility, and contributing to a collaborative care team. This position offers an hourly wage and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree from a PTA program.
• Experience: Rehab or acute care experience preferred.
• License: Current PTA license in state of practice.
• Certifications: CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Administer physical therapy interventions as directed by the supervising PT.
• Assist in patient mobility and exercise routines.
• Monitor patient responses and report progress to PT.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.

How you'll contribute

The Physical Therapist Assistant provides physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, assisting in restoring function and improving mobility.

Essential Functions

• Administer physical therapy interventions as directed by the supervising PT.
• Assist in patient mobility and exercise routines.
• Monitor patient responses and report progress to PT.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for treatment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
