Job summary

Lifepoint Health's Arroyo Grande Community Hospital ARU seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) for acute rehabilitation. This per diem role supports patient evaluation and treatment to improve movement and independence in a dynamic care environment.

You will work with a rehab team, educate patients on home programs, and contribute to discharge planning, documentation, and outcomes tracking, with a focus on compassionate, high‑quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program.
• Previous rehab setting experience preferred.
• Current PT license.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical therapy assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Provide direct patient care to restore strength, mobility, and function.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs.

How You'll Contribute

The Physical Therapist evaluates and treats patients with physical injuries or disabilities to improve movement, reduce pain, and restore functional independence.

Essential Functions

• Conduct physical therapy assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Provide direct patient care to restore strength, mobility, and function.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs.
