Job summary

WellSpan Health in York, PA is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to support treatment programs and assist the Physical Therapist during evaluations and procedures. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to implement plans and ensure high-quality patient care.

The role requires an Associate's degree, BLS certification, and a commitment to patient safety and accurate documentation. Day shifts, full-time hours, and occasional weekend coverage are described in the job

• Demonstrates patient-centered care and team collaboration.
• Maintains accurate patient documentation to support medical necessity.

Responsibilities

• Carries out exercise and treatment programs as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Assists the Physical Therapist during testing, evaluations and procedures.
• Coordinates therapy activities with the interdisciplinary team to meet goals.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies and state laws.
• Trains medical and nursing staff in physical therapy techniques.
• Uses safe patient handling for transfers and positioning.
• Communicates with supervising Physical Therapist per protocol.
