Job summary

WellSpan Health is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to perform treatments and provide exercise instruction for patients at entry to intermediate skill levels. The full-time role features a 72-hour biweekly schedule with varied hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Compensation ranges from $24.75 to $37.49 per hour. Responsibilities include assisting the Physical Therapist, coordinating activities with the team, and ensuring regulatory compliance and safe patient handling.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree Required.
• Less than 1 year relevant experience required.
• Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program; upon hire.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant upon hire; Basic Life Support upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Carries out a program of exercise and treatment for assigned patients following the Physical Therapist's evaluation.
• Assists the Physical Therapist during testing, evaluations, and procedures per AP TA/PPTA guidelines.
• Coordinates therapy activities with the interdisciplinary team to meet goals.
• Ensures compliance with state regulations and governing bodies.
• Trains medical staff in PT techniques and objectives.
• Uses safe patient handling during transfers and positioning.
