Alps at Wayne Rehab & Care Center in Wayne, NJ is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our skilled nursing and rehabilitation team. You will work closely with residents to improve strength, mobility, and independence in a collaborative setting.

As a PTA, you will support treatment plans, document progress, and educate residents and caregivers. The role emphasizes quality care, safety, and meaningful outcomes for residents in a stable healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Current New Jersey PTA license.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, strengthening, balance and functional activities.
• Help residents improve mobility and independence with activities of daily living.
• Monitor and document resident progress and response to treatment.
• Communicate with Physical Therapists, nursing staff, physicians and the rehabilitation team.
• Follow individualized treatment plans and clinical standards.
• Educate residents and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques and safety.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Promote resident safety, dignity, and quality of life.

We’re seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our skilled nursing and rehabilitation team in the Wayne, NJ area. This is an opportunity to work directly with residents and patients while being part of a collaborative rehabilitation team focused on meaningful outcomes and quality care.

What You’ll Do

• Provide physical therapy treatments and interventions under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist

• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, strengthening, balance, and functional activities

• Help residents improve mobility and independence with activities of daily living

• Monitor and document resident progress and response to treatment

• Communicate effectively with Physical Therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team

• Follow individualized treatment plans and established clinical standards

• Promote resident safety, dignity, comfort, and quality of life

What We’re Looking For

• Current New Jersey Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team

• Strong organizational and documentation skills

• Skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or geriatric experience is a plus
