Yourpurehealth in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. You will assist the Physical Therapist, help implement treatment plans, and contribute to patient assessment and care under supervision.

Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at Manzano by PureHealth in Albuquerque, New Mexico. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will provide physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist, and contribute to the assessment, intervention, and treatment of patients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist Physical Therapist in assessing patients and contributing to the development of treatment plans

• Provide physical therapy interventions, including exercises, modalities, and other treatments, as directed by the Physical Therapist

• Document patient information, including charges, progress notes, and other reports, in a timely and accurate manner

• Monitor and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes

• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, and provide patient instruction and education

• Communicate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care

• Maintain productivity expectations and advance patient care throughout the therapy stay

Work Environment:

This is a fast-paced post-acute setting that requires regular walking and interaction with patients. Team members are expected to adhere to our no-smoking policy.

Physical Demands:

This position requires regular walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and stooping. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 60 pounds.

HIPAA:

Team members are required to adhere to policies and procedures implementing HIPAA requirements for the privacy and security of protected health information.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program

• Valid State Appropriate PTA License
