Job summary

Lovelace Health System in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a day shift, full-time Outpatient Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team. Under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, you will provide therapy to patients with developmental, physical, cognitive, and emotional impairments, while adhering to policies to ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications include an Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant, NM licensure or eligibility, BLS within 14 days of hire, and 1

• Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Licensed or licensure-eligible PTA in the State of New Mexico.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• One year of related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy treatment to patients with developmental, physical, cognitive, and/or emotional impairments, disabilities, and/or handicaps under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

• Lovelace Westside Hospital provides care to Albuquerque’s Westside and Rio Rancho, including a 24-hour emergency department and a wide range of inpatient and outpatient surgical capabilities such as Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT), bariatric, and orthopedic service lines.
