Job summary

Ventura County Medical Center (VCMC) seeks a detail-oriented Physical Therapy Aide to support licensed therapists and care teams across VCMC and Eastman Therapy Services. You will assist with treatment setup, patient positioning, and equipment cleaning in a hospital/clinic setting.

Requirements include completion of a PT aide program or related coursework in anatomy/physiology/psychology and practical experience.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a physical therapy aide program or equivalent knowledge.
• Twelve (12) semester units in anatomy, physiology, psychology or human development, OR
• Three (3) months of paid or volunteer experience with individuals with disabilities or students in care settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient treatment and related tasks under supervision.
• Clean treatment areas and equipment; manage laundry duties.
• Handle charting, filing, correspondence, and clinic preparation.
• Assist with patient positioning and transportation to treatment.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and tools; ensure sanitation.
• Communicate with primary therapist regarding patient progress.
• Maintain records and documentation of treatment.
