Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy in West Babylon, NY is seeking Physical Therapist Aides to join a collaborative team in state-of-the-art facilities. Shifts include Mon/Wed 12-5pm, Tue/Thu 8-12pm, and Fri 10-6pm, with opportunities to support therapists and front desk tasks.

Ideal candidates will have knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology, comfort assisting patients, and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality while delivering compassionate, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Must be able to cover 15-20 minutes from home and arrange transportation.
• Knowledge of Anatomy & Kinesiology.
• Knowledge of therapy equipment used in workouts.
• Knowledge of patient behavior and needs.
• Knowledge of strengthening techniques.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a scribe for recording and editing therapeutic exercises under supervision.
• Prepare heat/ice packs, assist patients to pool, guide exercises and equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot treatment equipment; ensure safe operation.
• Educate patients by demonstrating proper equipment use and exercises.
• Welcome and assist patients into therapy sessions; provide reassurance.
• Answer questions and provide information; address patient fears.
• Protect confidentiality and maintain patient trust.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment per procedures.
• Sterilize and deliver equipment; position equipment and patients.
• Prepare treatment rooms; support therapists during sessions.
• Handle calls from physician offices, hospitals, and patients with service.
• Manage supplies inventory and place orders as needed.
• Provide front desk coverage and scheduling support as required.
