Job summary

Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy in New York is hiring Physical Therapist Aide to join a collaborative team. The role supports therapists, assists with patient care, and helps manage treatment sessions in state-of-the-art facilities.

Shifts are Tue/Thu 2pm-8pm. Duties include recording exercises, preparing supplies, maintaining equipment, and delivering compassionate, quality care while ensuring safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Willing to cover shifts from home; transportation to and from work.
• Knowledge of Anatomy & Kinesiology.
• Knowledge of therapy equipment.
• Knowledge of patient needs and strengthening techniques.
• Knowledge of restraints and aggression management practices.
• Ability to complete in-service training.
• Ability to observe, evaluate, and record patient conditions.
• Ability to maintain professional attitude and conduct.
• Ability to create and maintain records; document clearly.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Scribe therapy sessions under supervision by a licensed therapist.
• Prepare heat/ice packs, assist patients with pool activities and prescribed exercises.
• Maintain and troubleshoot therapy equipment; ensure maintenance and safety.
• Educate patients on equipment use and exercise routines.
• Greet and prepare patients for therapy sessions; provide reassurance and information.
• Answer patient and physician inquiries with professional service.
• Keep patient information confidential and secure.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace; follow procedures and regulations.
• Provide equipment and supplies; assist with inventory and stock management.
• Assist with front desk duties and scheduling as needed.
