Qualifications

• Knowledge of Anatomy & Kinesiology.
• Knowledge of the equipment used in therapy work.
• Knowledge of the behavior and needs of patients.
• Knowledge of proper strengthening techniques.
• Knowledge of the use of restraints and aggressive behavior management practices.
• Ability to observe, evaluate, and record conditions in patients.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a scribe for recording and editing therapeutic exercises under supervision.
• Assist patients by preparing heat and ice packs; aiding pool activities; guiding exercises and strengthening techniques.
• Ensure operation of treatment equipment by preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Educate patients by demonstrating proper use of equipment and routines.
• Prepare patients for therapy by welcoming and assisting into sessions.
• Provide information to patients and address questions to alleviate fears.
• Maintain confidentiality and a safe, clean working environment.
• Provide equipment and supplies to treatment area and assist therapist access.
• Prepare treatment rooms per protocols.
• Answer calls from physician offices, hospitals, and patients with good service.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and possibly assist with scheduling.
