Job summary

University Physical Therapy in Virginia is seeking a passionate Physical Therapist for outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine. You will evaluate, treat, and guide patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, and performance-related conditions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to restore function.

The ideal candidate holds a DPT, is licensed in Virginia, and has strong communication and teamwork skills; new grads are welcome.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent from an accredited program.
• Active Virginia Physical Therapy license.
• Preferred: 1+ years in outpatient orthopedics or sports medicine.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with sports-related injuries, orthopedic and neuromuscular conditions.
• Deliver hands-on therapy and prescribe therapeutic exercises to restore function, strength, and mobility.
• Educate patients on injury and fall risk prevention, recovery strategies, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with referring physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Stay current with best practices and advancements in sports medicine and rehabilitation.

• New graduates with strong interest in outpatient orthopedics and sports rehab are encouraged to apply.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
