University Physical Therapy is seeking a passionate Physical Therapist to join our outpatient sports medicine team. You will assess and treat patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and performance-related concerns in a collaborative environment.

Focus on evidence-based care, educate patients for injury prevention, and work with a multidisciplinary team to restore peak function and performance. VA licensure required; 1+ year outpatient experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent from an accredited program.
• Active Physical Therapy license in Virginia.
• 1+ years in outpatient orthopedics or sports medicine preferred; new grads welcome.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for sports-related injuries and orthopedic conditions.
• Deliver hands-on therapy and prescribe therapeutic exercises to restore function, strength, and mobility.
• Educate patients on injury prevention, recovery strategies, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with referring physicians and the care team to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
