University Physical Therapy is seeking a passionate Physical Therapist to join our outpatient sports medicine team. This role focuses on evidence-based care for orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and performance-related conditions in a collaborative setting.

You will evaluate and treat patients, educate on prevention and recovery, and coordinate with referring physicians to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent from an accredited program.
• Active Physical Therapy license in Virginia.
• 1+ years outpatient orthopedics or sports medicine preferred; new grads are encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for sports-related injuries and orthopedic conditions.
• Deliver hands-on therapy and prescribe therapeutic exercises to restore function and mobility.
• Educate patients on injury prevention and performance optimization; maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians and the rehabilitation team to ensure continuity of care.

University Physical Therapy – is seeking a passionate and skilled Physical Therapist to join our outpatient physical therapy and sports medicine team. This role focuses on providing evidence-based care to patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and performance-related conditions. You will work in a collaborative environment with other rehabilitation professionals to help patients return to peak function, wellness and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with sports-related injuries, orthopedic and neuromuscular conditions.
• Deliver hands-on therapy and prescribe therapeutic exercises to restore function, strength, and mobility.
• Educate patients on injury and fall risk prevention, recovery strategies, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with referring physicians and interdisciplinary team members in the community to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Stay current with best practices and advancements in sports medicine and rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• Education: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program.
• Licensure: Active Physical Therapy license in Virginia.
• Experience:
  • Preferred: 1+ years in outpatient orthopedics or sports medicine.
  • New graduates with strong interest in outpatient orthopedics and sports rehab are encouraged to apply.
