Job summary

Inova Health System’s Inova Physical Therapy - Dulles South/Chantilly is looking for an Outpatient Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team in Chantilly, VA. This full-time role (31.75 hours/week) is scheduled Monday–Friday with occasional evening shifts at our Chantilly location.

The position emphasizes delivering high-quality outpatient therapy with a strong emphasis on patient care, teamwork, and community health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required.
• VA licensure or compact privileges acceptable at start.
• BLS certification required at start.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates essential skill competencies in treatment modalities and protocols.
• Performs re-evaluations per department guidelines and adjusts plans accordingly.
• Maintains updated written evaluations, progress notes and discharge summaries.
• Gives instruction and supervision to support staff per policies and regulations.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, medical staff and care teams.

Physical Therapist(PT) Job Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates essential skill competencies in the use of treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols.
• Performs re-evaluations according to department guidelines while adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
• Adheres to department policies regarding the timeframe, form, and content of written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Gives appropriate instruction and supervision to assistive personnel consistent with program/clinic policies and regulatory requirements.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
• Licensure: Physical Therapist upon start (VA licensure or compact privileges are acceptable)
• Certification: BLS through the American Heart Association upon start

Preferred Qualification:

• Master's degree in Physical Therapy or Doctor of Physical Therapy degree
• Outpatient Physical Therapist (PT) experience
