Job summary

Inova Health is seeking a PRN outpatient Physical Therapist in the Alexandria, VA area to join our team. The role supports intermittent coverage from Monday to Friday with clinic hours spanning early mornings to evenings.

The position offers a 1:1 patient treatment model, formal mentorship, and a strong commitment to continuing education and personal growth within Inova’s clinical framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy (required).
• Virginia Physical Therapist Licensure or Physical Therapist compact privileges required upon start.
• BLS from the American Heart Association required upon start.

Responsibilities

• Select evaluations and treatment methods appropriate for patient diagnosis, age group, and status.
• Demonstrate competencies in treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols.
• Perform re-evaluations per department guidelines and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Maintain written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries according to policy.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, medical staff, and care team members.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Inova Physical Therapy-Springfield is looking for an Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our outstanding team. This position is PRN or as needed for intermittent coverage needs between Monday - Friday. Clinics Hours are Monday-Thursday 7:00am -7:00pm, Friday-7:00am to 4:30pm We offer 1:1 patient treatment model, a formal mentorship program and a commitment to continuing education and personal growth.

Physical Therapist PRN Job Responsibilities

• The Physical Therapist PRN selects evaluations and treatment methods appropriate for the patient's diagnosis, age group, and physical/emotional status while formulating appropriate treatment plans.
• Demonstrates essential skill competencies in the use of treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols.
• Perform re-evaluations according to department guidelines while adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
• Adheres to department policies regarding the timeframe, form, and content of written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy.
• Licensure: Virginia Physical Therapist Licenser or Physical Therapist compact privileges required upon start.
• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association required upon start.

Preferred Qualification

• Master's degree in Physical Therapy or Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
