Job summary

Inova Health System's Outpatient Physical Therapy department in Alexandria is hiring a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) for a full-time, day-shift position. Clinic hours run Monday through Thursday 7am–7pm and Friday 7am–4pm (two evenings until 7pm required).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
• VA licensure or compact privileges acceptable.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association on start.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates essential skill competencies in the use of treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols.
• Performs re-evaluations according to department guidelines while adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
• Adheres to department policies regarding the timeframe, form, and content of written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Gives appropriate instruction and supervision to assistive personnel consistent with program/clinic policies and regulatory requirements.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education:Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
• Licensure:Physical Therapist upon start (VA licensure or compact privileges are acceptable)
• Certification:BLS through the American Heart Association upon start
