Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
Establish a plan of care appropriate to identified problems, involving the patient according to their capabilities and desires.
Design and implement individualized programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, and prevent dysfunction.
Utilize standard physical therapy techniques and skills suitable for the patient's age and condition.
Supervise physical therapy assistants, students, and support personnel by assessing competence, delegating tasks, and maintaining communication channels.
Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, recommending modifications as needed.
Document goals, expected progress, and plans for reevaluation.
Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy.
Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work independently, stress management, and appropriate action-taking skills.
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
Physical Therapist license in North Carolina, United States.
Affiliation with the American Physical Therapist Association (APTA) is recommended.
