Job summary

BayCare is seeking an Acute Care Physical Therapist (Pool/PRN) to provide high-quality care at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital in New Port Richey, FL. The role supports comprehensive PT evaluations, individualized plans, and education for patients and families.

Responsibilities include documenting in the EMR, collaborating with the care team, and contributing to quality improvement. BLS, PT license or eligibility, and a PT degree are required, with a preference for 1 year of PT experience.

Qualifications

• Must have BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• PT License or eligibility to obtain is required; temporary license options may apply.

• Deliver evidence-based interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other therapists to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families on exercises, safety, and post-discharge recommendations.
• Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Acute Care Physical Therapist (Pool/PRN) Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.

Requirements:

• Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy


• Preferred: 1 year of Physical Therapist experience
