Schedule Details/Additional Information: M-F, rotating Saturday mornings 4-5 times per year.

Pay Range: $38.20 - $57.30

What You’ll Need

What You’ll Do
  • Adhere to general hospital standards and departmental policies to promote a cooperative work environment, using communication skills, interpersonal relationships, and team building.
  • Provide patient care assessment and treatment, ensuring evaluations and treatments are comprehensive, functional, and adhere to the Standard of Practice. Use professional judgment to interpret evaluation results, establish treatment plans with realistic goals, encourage patients and significant others in goal setting, recognize changes in patient physiology, recommend next level of care, and ensure quality outcomes.
  • Supervise support staff assisting with patient care, providing direction and feedback.
  • Maintain accurate documentation: complete written patient evaluations, progress notes, discharge notes, patient/family education, charges, departmental statistics, and ICD-10 codes as appropriate. Ensure documentation is legible and timely.
  • Meet department financial and productivity standards, understand budgeted expectations, and adjust individual schedules to meet patient and department needs.
  • Participate in process management to optimize quality and efficiency, identify quality and operational opportunities, communicate progress barriers to supervisors, and research and suggest evidence-based best practices.
  • Promote professional development and education of other healthcare workers, provide representation on committees, conduct in-service training programs, and share clinical expertise with other therapists, student affiliates, and healthcare professionals.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, staff, and external customers in a professional and timely manner, responding to questions, promoting an open atmosphere, sharing seminar information, and informing supervisors of issues and resolutions.
  • Provide appropriate patient care in accordance with age/developmental guidelines, demonstrate age/developmentally specific knowledge, skills, and abilities, and maintain competence by staying updated on growth, development, and aging.
