Job summary

Memorial Physician Practices is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) in North Carolina. This full-time position offers a $15,000 bonus with a 2-year commitment. As part of a caring team at Harris Regional Hospital, you'll perform assessments and establish care plans for patients. A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy and North Carolina license are required. Qualifications

• Must possess basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patient’s condition.
• Establish a plan of care involving the patient according to their capabilities.
• Carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment.
• Direct and supervise physical therapy assistants and other support personnel.
• Evaluate, fit and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices.

Join our dedicated rehabilitation team at Harris Regional, an 86-bed facility offering a full range of services including general surgery, women's care, intensive care, and emergency services. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional respiratory care, continuously seeking ways to enhance the patient and family experience. We work closely with all providers and caregivers to ensure the best possible outcomes for every patient we serve.

How you'll contribute

• Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient’s condition.
• Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient according to his or her capabilities and desires.
• Plans, prepares and carries out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain and prevent physical dysfunction in patients.
• Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the age and condition of the patient.
• Directs and supervises physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel. Assesses competence, delegates specific tasks, and establishes channels of communication.
• Evaluates, fits, and adjusts prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommend modifications.
• Identifies and documents goals, anticipated progress and plans for reevaluation.

What we’re looking for

Must have a bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy and possess a North Carolina Physical Therapy License. Additional requirements include:
