Position Details
  • Department: Acute Care Rehabilitation
  • Location: High Point, North Carolina
  • Type: Full time
  • Hours: 40 per week (Monday‑Friday; weekend coverage once monthly)
  • Pay Range: $38.20 – $57.30 per hour
Qualifications
  • B.S., M.S., or D.P.T. from an accredited physical therapy school
  • Current licensure in the applicable state
  • CPR certification in Basic Life Support, Level C
Responsibilities
  • Adhere to hospital policies and procedures; promote a cooperative work environment and maintain quality of services; stay informed of policy changes.
  • Provide patient care assessment and treatment, including comprehensive evaluations, development of realistic treatment plans, encouragement of patients and families, monitoring of physiological changes, recommendation of next level of care, and supervision of support staff.
  • Maintain accurate, legible documentation: patient evaluations, progress notes, discharge notes, education provided, charges, departmental statistics, and ICD‑10 coding.
  • Meet departmental financial and productivity standards, understanding budgeted expectations and adjusting schedules to meet patient and department needs.
  • Participate in process management to optimize quality and efficiency; identify opportunities, communicate barriers, and research evidence‑based practices.
  • Promote professional development by conducting in‑service training, sharing clinical expertise with other therapists and healthcare professionals, and representing the department on committees.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, staff, and external customers; respond to inquiries, maintain open communication, and inform supervisors of issues and resolutions.
  • Provide age‑ and developmentally appropriate care, demonstrating relevant knowledge and keeping skills updated regarding growth, development, and aging.
