What You’ll Need
- Licensed to practice Physical Therapy in the State of North Carolina with current licensure, active member of APTA encouraged but not required.
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited physical therapy school required.
- CPR certification required every two years.
What You’ll Do
- Provide patient care assessment and treatment. Ensure evaluations and treatments are comprehensive, functional, and according to the Standard of Practice.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation. Complete written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge notes per policy.
- Meet department financial and productivity standards. Adjust individual schedules to meet the needs of patients and department.
- Participate in process management to optimize quality and efficiency of services.
- Promote professional development of other health care workers and provide representation on committees.
- Supervise physical therapy and physical therapy assistant students.
- Communicate professionally with patients, physicians, staff, and external customers.
- Provide appropriate patient care in accordance with age/developmental guidelines.
- Adhere to general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment.
